The iPad came and conquered and Apple is already itching to rub in their victory with a newer version of their successful tablet device. The iPad 2 launch in 2011 makes more sense for Apple in the face of a deluge of Android devices flooding the market.

The future of computing is on the cloud and Google wants a first mover's advantage. It has already displayed its Chrome OS and the first laptops powered by the operating system are expected to be out in the second half of the year.
#3...HP's webOS tablet
Many believe that the webOS is the best mobile operating system around and when it comes up in a tablet avatar, the competition would have something to be worried about. Some activity around the webOS tablet is expected as early as February.
#4...Android Honeycomb
We have seen the first of the Android Honeycomb driven tablets at CES 2011 and everyone is waiting for when the sales begin. So long manufacturers have used the Android meant for mobile phones to run tablet devices and now when an Android for tablets is ready to roll, the market equations may tilt.
#5...Notion Ink Adam
The Adam was one tablet that made us wait the most and now it is almost ready for release. If it succeeds, it will be a big boost for India, a country that isn't very well known for developing cutting-edge consumer devices.

Tales about the Xbox 360's successor, Xbox 720, have been floating around for the past many years and Microsoft said it'll be released sometime in 2011-12. Since we are already in 2011, let us start the wait afresh.

Things haven't been going the way Nokia would have liked it to and now they expected to bring out the ace up their sleeve - Meego. The company is expected to launch the Meego-powered Nokia N9 at the upcoming Mobile World Congress at Barcelona.

The beta versions have been around for quite a while and we are eagerly waiting for the final stable release of Firefox 4. Some of us prefer Mozilla's Web browser over the Chromes and IEs and want to upgrade soon.

The rumour mill is already abuzz with iPhone 5 specs. Keep the mill rolling, we say. For the iPhone the pre-release hungama is almost as exciting as the real release itself.
